My Project

Our classroom is made up of several unique and fun students. Each student requires their own individualized program in order for their educational experience to be successful. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to have different activities, resources, and supplies available to engage and foster learning in a fun and accessible manner. Our students often need a variety of materials in order to differentiate their learning.

Students often require items such as different options for centers that include hands-on activities.

Having hands-on activities helps with engagement, and it helps with their ability to focus on what is being taught or what is being asked of them. In the classroom, learning in the traditional way does not work. We need to meet the students and their needs in every way possible.

Adding lamps to the classroom will help with a calming atmosphere. Sometimes the lights within the room can be overpowering but shutting the lights off makes it difficult to see.

Working with our students, teaching all subject areas, there are several items that are needed. Adding new materials and hands-on center activities to help with this will benefit each student in their own way. We want each student to grow individually and as a team, and never feel as if they are not capable of anything.

Organization is a key to success for our kids. In order to minimize transitioning and confusing, adding the backpacks to the back of their chairs allows for all materials to be accessible to them at all times. It also minimizes confusion and distractions to other.

Every day in our classroom is one that encourages each student to be the best leader that they can be.
