Center Activities for Hands On Learning

My Students

My kindergarten students are a very fun group. I have a class of 20 students who are eager to learn and explore the world. They love math and learning to read. They are very energetic and open to new learning ventures. My students are always given the opportunity to be in charge of their own learning. We are growing leaders. My students are from all different socioeconomic levels and backgrounds. They love coming to class to see what exciting things they will be learning.

My Project

These learning resources will allow my students to engage in fun, active, hands-on learning while staying safe and healthy in their classroom learning environment. Due to covid procedures I have more classroom groups of students. We used to be able to work in groups of 5-6 and now we are in groups of 2-3. This means we need more activities to have in rotation.

It is important to me to support students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being while trying to minimize impacts of interrupted learning as a result of COVID-19.

Activities such as block play, hands on math and language games will support the student need for developing student's social skills that have not been fostered over the last few years. Having more activities will allow me to rotate them through fun engaging activities while creating a safe small group learning environment.
