My students need cello bows. We know that this is not the most innovative grant you'll ever fund, but we are running low on equipment and could use some help.

My Students
I teach in a classroom where we are excited about what we do.
We are expressive, critical thinkers.
We take risks, we learn from our mistakes, and we celebrate our successes.
I teach orchestra to approximately 140 students in grades 6-8. We are learners and musicians. We are excited about what we do, and we use music to explore history, science, literacy, and other arts. My students are racially and socioeconomically diverse. But they all have one thing in common. They are aspiring musicians.
My Project
My students need good, quality, durable bows to play their instruments well. We know that this is not the most innovative grant that you will ever fund, but we are running low on basic equipment, and our current budget will not support us buying new materials at this time.
My students need quality equipment in order to perform at the high level they aspire to.
These bows will make a significant difference for their confidence, and their sound.
Some may look at this request and see a bunch of sticks and some horsehair. I see potential. I see in my students a light--a desire to do great things. Funding this equipment request will help them to do great things.
