Help me give my students the ability to work without distractions. Cell Phones cause disturbances during class. I would like to have students put them in a "phone locker" during my period to help everyone focus.

My Project
I feel I could minimize distractions during class. Middle school is a critical time for learning and development. Cell phones can be a significant distraction pulling students' attention away from their studies and interactions with peers. Cell phone lockers provide a designated space for students to store their phones during class, reducing the temptation to use them.
I feel I can promote a greater focus on learning by removing cell phones from the immediate environment.
Students are less likely to be checking messages, browsing social media, or playing games when their phones are safely stored away.
Having lockers where students must store their phones during assessments helps prevent academic dishonesty and ensures a fair testing environment.
I feel I can encourage more face-to-face interaction and social development with cell phones stored away. Students will be more likely to engage in meaningful conversations and collaboration without the interference of cell phones. Overall, cell phone lockers in middle schools help create a more conducive learning environment by minimizing distractions, promoting focus, fostering social interaction, and teaching responsible technology use.
