Working with students who struggle with reading and writing can be so rewarding when students make gains and see themselves as a reader and writer! My students work so hard each day and love to be rewarded with animals that I crochet. I work with around 60 students a day. Each student earns tickets daily for all of the great things they do. On Friday I pick 6 ticket winners. The students run into my room on Friday morning to see if they have been selected.
Students get to choose what animal they would like me to crochet.
I give them their animal on Monday and take a picture of them with their new prize. With this yarn in he project, I will be able to make more animals for the kids. They will be able to customize their special prize with the different color options making it even more special.
Thank you so much for giving these awesome kids a special crocheted animals for all of their hard work!
