Celebrating Persepolis The Story Of A Childhood

Help me give my students copies of the book Persepolis. We will be using this book as part of our class literature. It is important that I have enough books for every child to have one at home.

My Students

My school, like most others, is totally shut down and, there are also questions around returning to school in August. Students will be able to pick up materials for next year but only if I have enough for each student. This project will insure I have the books I need for next year.

My Project

In preparation for next year as well as the uncertainty of returning to the classroom, I must somehow acquire enough copies of our classroom texts for each of my students to take home. With the recent threat of educational funding cuts, I am reaching out to the DonorsChoose family to help fund this project.

This is a beautifully written memoir of a young girl growing up in Iran during an extremely turbulent time.

It is almost impossible to set down once you have started it. I would love for my students to devour this text and better understand some of the political issues of the time while falling in love with Marjane Satrapi
