Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
These crafts, activities, and games will provide all of our students and families with an opportunity to celebrate the diverse cultures represented in our school community. Our annual Multicultural night is a huge celebration where the school community comes together to share and experience group games, music, food, booths, performances, and more to showcase the numerous cultures represented in our school. This event allows families the opportunity to learn about other cultures as well as celebrate and honor their own. Every student and family that attends the event is celebrated and honored as an individual and as a school community member.
Celebrating our diverse school community and creating opportunities for family engagement in education is the purpose of the annual Multicultural Night.
All of these crafts, games, and activities have been chosen with the entire school in mind. Families have attended the event with little hands-on experience available. With these materials, we will be able to provide our students with a better opportunity to spend time with their friends and families at school and also to learn more about other cultures. This is also a great way for them to meet new people in our school. Students and their families will be able to choose crafts, games, and activities to enjoy with their family, friends, and others in the school community as well as cherish as memories of the annual event.
