Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom community is comprised of a diverse group of learners, including both native English speakers and English language learners. They come to school each day ready to learn more about themselves and the world around them.
A standard box of crayons, markers, or colored pencils does not include shades that match their skin tones.
I want my students to feel represented when they are engaged in classroom art projects. Crayola's Colors of the World Skin Tone crayons, markers, colored pencils, and construction paper will provide my students with art supplies that make them feel represented and valued. The pencil sharpener will help to keep the colored pencils sharp and ready to use.
