This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our school is proud of its diverse student population, which comes from many different parts of the world. Many of our students are learning English as a second language, and we are excited to help them learn about new cultures, beliefs, traditions, and foods. Our project aims to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of each other's backgrounds.

Each student is unique and has their own life experiences that shape who they are.

We believe that our diversity is what makes us strong. At our school, we have over 14 different languages spoken, and we encourage our students to learn from one another.

We are thrilled to announce our first annual International Festival, where our students will have the opportunity to showcase their cultures and traditions. We hope that this event will help us celebrate our diversity and bring us closer together as a community.

In addition to the festival, we will also be holding our annual 8th-grade graduation ceremony. This is a significant milestone for many of our students, and we want to make it as special as possible. We plan to provide graduation caps for each student, so they can remember this day for the rest of their lives. We hope to make it festive with lots of decorations that we have included in the project including banners, balloons, and table covers.

As the school year comes to a close, we want to make it a memorable one for each of our students. Some of them will return to their countries, while others will remain in the States. Regardless of where they go, we hope that they will carry the lessons they learned at Emergence with them for the rest of their lives.
