Celebrating Growth: 8th Grade Moving-Up Ceremony & Year-End Celebration!

Help me give my students a joyful and memorable end-of-year celebration and 8th grade moving-up ceremony with decorations, refreshments, and keepsakes to honor their hard work and accomplishments.

My Project

My students have worked so hard this year—through academic challenges, personal growth, and the unique pressures that come with being in 8th grade. As they prepare to transition into high school, I want to give them the recognition and joy they deserve with an end-of-year celebration and a meaningful moving-up ceremony.

Many of our students come from low-income households and rarely get opportunities to attend events that truly celebrate their accomplishments.

This event is more than just a party—it's a rite of passage, a confidence boost, and a memory they can carry with them as they take on high school.

Your support will help us create a special day filled with joy, pride, and reflection. We'll use the funds for decorations, light refreshments (water, soda, chips, and cookies), and small tokens (photo booth and starfish story) students can take home. With your help, we can make this a moment they'll never forget.

What We'll Use the Funds For:

- Decorations for the ceremony space (balloons, banners, tablecloths)

- Personalized certificates and memory keepsakes

- Refreshments and snacks for the celebration

- Photo booth supplies and backdrops

Why This Project Matters:

This celebration helps students feel seen, valued, and proud of what they've accomplished. It also motivates younger students who see the ceremony and look forward to their own special day. It builds community, boosts morale, and ends the year on a high note.
