Help me give my students a warm welcoming to their new classroom community with a welcome banner, Fantastic Kids accents, notes from the teacher, and many other incentives.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a wonderful group of twenty-four preschoolers who are constantly eager to learn. They have limited educational resources at home because they come from low-income households, but they are very enthusiastic learners and happy children! My goal is to provide them with a positive environment at school where they can develop their natural curiosity and desire to learn about the world.
The beginning of the year is the best time to set the rules and expectations for our classroom.
My goal is to build a sense of community, where each child feels empowered and responsible for the well being of each child in the classroom.
My Project
My preschoolers are so excited to start our new school year!
They are making a great effort to follow directions when they listen to stories, share their toys, play together, line up, etc.
In order to manage my classroom behavior and make my students' learning fun and rewarding, I praise them, give them high fives, hugs, or thumbs up, send a note home, and reward them with small prizes as well.
This year I would like to highlight and promote good behavior in our class by choosing a Star Student each week. Throughout the year each student will have the opportunity to be portrayed as our Star Student. I will be using the Star Student Braggin' Badges stickers and bracelets, the pencils, erasers, and other small prices to reward their good behavior.
I will also post the welcome banner and add the Fantastic Kids accents with their name on it to their art work. To make them feel welcome and proud of their accomplishments.
