Celebrating Excellence on a Budget

Help me give my students reusable tablecloths and supplies to annually celebrate their academic accomplishments with their families and our school community.

My Project

Most of my students are not only the best academically in our school, but they are also excellent learners of the French language and culture. As a result, many of them qualify for state and national level recognitions in language-learning every year.

My students and I do not have the financial means to continuously purchase disposable materials, especially when more economic, quality options are available.

Each year, out of my own pocket, I purchase lots of cheap plastic tablecloths, the kind you might find at a child's party, to cover the cafeteria tables or whatever furniture is available to us. The goal is to create an inviting, honorable-looking environment to celebrate my students' accomplishments in front of their families and our school community. It is not the best, but it is all I can afford. I would love to have real tablecloths that we can reuse year after year, which would save us a considerable amount of money in the long run and dress up the tables in a way that my students deserve.

I am also requesting a multipack of frames for displaying school documents and charters because it is more economical than ordering frames individually, and the frames will prevent damage to the documents. Candles for the annual recognition ceremonies are also being requested in bulk to save money and last us for several years, along with racks for storing the supplies securely in my teacher-storage lockers. This will ensure that we are able to protect our investment for years to come.
