Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My World History students love to do art projects for every culture we learn about. Art allows students to approach learning in a very hands-on way, connecting them viscerally to historical ideas and objects. My US History students also love being able to connect to each others' histories and backgrounds through shared stories.

These books will help my students learn about each other and their communities in an easily digestible way.

I have English language learners who would benefit from bilingual support. Origami paper is versatile in creating items that represent various objects from many different regions. Markers are always necessary. Containers and caddies keep our classroom supplies organized.
