Celebrating Diversity

My students need 20 paperback copies of 6 multicultural holiday books, including "D is for Dreidel" and "Story of Kwanzaa".

This project is fully funded

I am a second grade regular-education teacher at an Equity Plus school. About 80% of our students are on free and reduced lunch. About 20% of of students are ESL. In our second grade curriculum, we learn about different cultures and the holidays they celebrate. We also compare and contrast the holidays we celebrate and those of people around the world. In order to meet these needs, we need materials so that the students can see first hand how these different holidays are celebrated. I have asked for class sets because whole group reading requires each student to have their own copy. By having the extra reading material on hand, the students can gain additional knowledge concerning diversity and the different cultures around the world. Thank you for taking the time to review my proposal.
