This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal this year was to include more books in the classroom as a way for students to pick up and read if they completed a task early rather than getting a word search or play a game because I want them to build on their reading skills and be exposed to different authors.

While my goal of increasing the exposure of reading has been successful, I want to add more books.

I would like to add books focused on African-Americans because the majority of my students are African-American and the Afro-Latino books will work well to integrate in my Spanish classes.
