My Project

My students have endured extreme highs and lows due to Covid-19. Their elementary school experience was immensely impacted and many of the students learned from home for many years. They were forced to leave their friends and familiar adults due to the spread of the disease. Since returning to school last year, they have once again become a family. The students have been through so many life-altering experiences together and the 6th grade team of teachers would like to make their end of year celebration something to remember. I would like to celebrate all their hard work, perseverance, and grit.

The items that are within this project will remind students of their awe-inspiring determination to graduate despite the obstacles that were placed in their paths.

The items were picked up with student interests in mind. For example, the students will be able to enjoy snacks and drinks. They will be given bracelets and lanyards with words of affirmation. The balloons and tablecloths will make the space look presentable and exciting!
