My Project

Reading opens the door to different worlds. It is my goal as a Chinese and Filipino American teacher to ensure my students have a rigorous education that fosters a love for learning, confidence in one's self, and an appreciation for those who come from different backgrounds.

Every day, we teach our students to be proud of who they are and their identities.

I have the opportunity to model that self-confidence by using Lunar New Year as a way to teach about my own identity and my ancestor's traditions.

Please consider joining me in providing a respectful and multicultural education to my students. Your gift of literature will ensure that they have access to books that spark a curiosity for other cultures.
