Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are mostly Hispanic and embrace their culture. The students are looking forward to a school-wide celebration where they can embrace diversity and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Students are also learning about contributions made by various hispanic leaders in the United States. Furthermore, students want to bring awareness to other students in the school about influential Hispanics in the United States.

Students will decorate the hallways to embrace Hispanic Heritage month at a school-wide level.

The papel picado will be hung in the hallways along with the flags of the Spanish speaking countries, and mini piñatas. The backdrops will be used in our classroom and hallways as a celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. The candy and party bags will be given to students on the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month as a way to end the school-wide celebration.
