My Project

My students are inquisitive and energetic, and most of them are from families, who are low socio-economic backgrounds. Our middle schools students elected our student council who want to facilitate a school wide awareness activities for Down Syndrome Awareness Day and Autism Awareness Day. We have students in our school. We have students with Down Syndrome and Autism, and it is helpful if everyone understands their needs.

With your help, my students will create a package of stickers, bracelets, and pencils to spark discussion and awareness.

During lunch, they will provide cards with information about Down Syndrome and Autism and puzzles activities for students to put together. They will also share information on the morning announcements and encourage discussions. Since our school has 1000 students school-wide, we need your help to provide the supplies to share freely with all students.
