One of the most popular learning centers in my Pre-K classroom is the creativity center, where students use a variety of materials to create, based on the theme we are studying. Colored pencils are a favorite tool for my students to use in their journals as they write and draw all year long. They begin to see themselves as authors and illustrators.
Play-Doh strengthens fine motor skills while sparking imagination.
Having a variety of paint colors will allow my students to create self portraits throughout the year, which is a wonderful way to see their skills develop.
