Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever seen those horrible drop ceiling tiles? We are attempting to spruce up our art room by baiting our ceiling!

We are learning about the Renaissance painters and through this unit we are studying fresco, painting styles and much more!

We will be painting a ceiling tile with a famous painting from the "Masters" of the Renaissance. Each student is assigned a painter that they will replicate.

My Project

After studying their artist students will research in the lab and then create their own version of the painting chosen by the Master of the Renaissance. We will wind up with many replicas of famous art pieces on the ceiling all painted by current students.

I think this will really brighten up the rooms in our building as well as teach the students culture from the past.

They will learn painting techniques and be exposed to a whole new era.
