Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Class of 2024 needs your support as they celebrate all their hard work through our annual event, Decision Day! Decision Day is an event where we host fun games, hand out college dorm essentials, provide food and entertainment, and our seniors get to publicly declare what college they will be pursuing through a ceremony. The requested donations below will go towards providing our seniors with college dorm/student essentials, so they have necessary items needed to transition from high school to college.
Majority of our students come from low-income households, and will be the first in their families to attend college.
100% of our seniors applied to a four year university and 100% of our seniors are high-achieving, dual-enrollment students. Our students have been working very hard to complete their college applications, all while navigating numerous extracurricular activities and both college and high school courses, having 71% of our seniors graduating with an IGETC and/or an Associate of the Arts Degree!
We are extremely proud of our seniors, and we would love if their community would join us in celebrating #CECGoesToCollege!
