This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a very eager group of students who love to learn and love to read. They love story time and library time. As students with different needs and abilities, they are still learning to read, but still want to enjoy the same books their classmates are reading. I would love for them to have a special place in our classroom where they can enjoy listening to stories being read to them as they follow along in their books. We have books with CDs but we don't have the CD players needed for them to be able to enjoy some time in a classroom library listening station.
These CD players would give them more opportunities to be read to and help grow their love of reading while learning how to read with support while embracing their different abilities.
They will be able to use them with or without our classroom headphones. Please support our students and their different abilities and allow them access to learning at the entry points that are best suited to them.
