My Students

My students are being raised in a south central Kentucky town with the sweetest hometown feel, but with little opportunity for career paths. Many live in low-income households and poverty is a great obstacle that the staff at my school strive to overcome as we educate our students. Our students are so creative and are excellent problem solvers, and would benefit so much from products that can enhance and build on these characteristics they exhibit. I hope within my classroom, I can inspire future inventors, engineers and artists and give them hope for their future.

My Project

We are so excited to be creating a makerspace in our library! Our goal is to use a variety of STEAM related materials to give our students a creative space to explore and problem solve!

We would love to add 3doodlers to our library Makerspace!

With these, students can build and create three-dimensional objects, structures and unique works of art that they can be proud of.

Due to budgets being cut in the near future, money will be tight and in order to accomplish this dream of an amazing makerspace in our school, we hope to come together as a school and community to provide this opportunity for our students!
