it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we near the end of freshmen year for my AVID students, I want to to start preparing for sophomore year with a book study. Many of my students have grown so much in taking responsiblty for their work and selves, and I believe the the book "12 Rules For Life" could provide the opportunity to grow in areas and solidify essential life skills that will serve them well beyond high school.
Students would participate in a literature circle style study where they self-assess and make individual goals for their future selves.
