My students are from a Title I School in rural East Tennessee, and, as you can expect, they are from a low socioeconomic level. In fact, my school qualifies for free breakfast and lunch for all students. Despite all that is against them, my students walk through the classroom door each day with a smile on their faces and a desire to learn something new. Their passion for learning never ceases to amaze me. My students appreciate the education they receive and view it as their opportunity to change their lives. They deserve the world, and on behalf of them, we appreciate you viewing our project!
My students often arrive at school without any basic supplies, such as notebook paper, pencil, highlighters, etc. These are items that I must give out daily as a teacher, and, with over 100 students, this becomes very costly on my limited salary. As a teacher, it’s my greatest wish that my students are never treated differently “cause I ain’t got a pencil.” I have chosen items on my list that will ensure each student has what he needs for the daily activities in my social studies classroom. Your support will ensure that my students have everything they need to be successful in the classroom. The students in my classroom are more than deserving and their futures are so bright!
