My Project
I am a special education teacher at our school for HS students with disabilities. The students at our school have been learning all year of the importance of tolerance, inclusivity, respect, and kindness. We have learned different ways to show kindness, such as holding the door open for someone, sharing materials, giving a compliment, or offering a smile. We are building a kindness initiative where any student can be "caught being kind" and earn a prize!!
Please help supply my students with motivating incentives to help them reward other students for displaying kindness!
My students will service the school community by visiting other classrooms explaining the kindness mission and showing off the cool prizes they can receive if they are caught! My students will also be setting up a display of incentives, checking to make sure their peers have received a reward coupon, and assisting them in choosing a reward. We have requested motivational prizes for the entire student body (K-12) even though my high school students are going to be leading the initiative and doing the work! We are hoping that this mission will help the rest of our student body see how important it is to be kind to others! Have you shown kindness today?!
