My Project

Please help my students learn about the life cycle of butterflies with an amazing STEM project where live caterpillars are sent to the classroom. These caterpillars eat and get larger then form into chrysalis. The students can then watch the chrysalis hang while the transformation into beautifully painted butterflies happens. It is so educational and fun for the students especially when the butterflies emerge from the chrysalis and have flowers to land on.

Life Cycle transforming from a caterpillar to a chrysalis to a butterfly is an exciting STEM project for students of all ages!

We also have plants that we will pot and have ready for the caterpillars once they emerge from their chrysalis. Many students have heard of the life cycle of butterflies but actually watching it happen before their eyes is a whole different experience.
