I teach two sets of 5th grade students language arts and social studies daily. Our student population has a significant number of students from economically challenged families.

We struggle every year to locate the funds to provide our students with student-friendly, engaging text to improve their abilities to connect with the world outside of our classroom.

We have found that Time for Kids and Weekly Reader News Senior Edition are a very useful tools to relate our world to the world around us. The information in each edition pulls the reader in and lets them experience a a highly realistic format.
