My Students

My twenty something elementary students are curious, energetic, and ready for a challenge. They are always eager to try something new. They work hard to grow. Some are shy while others are loud with a spectrum of others to add to the balance. They live for field trips, experiments, and scavenger hunts. They don’t know all of what they like yet, but still are open to finding out. We are a Title I school with a free lunch and breakfast program for all our kiddos.

My Project

Headsets, chart paper, and storage containers may not sound like much, but it’s the game changer in a student centered classroom! The requested items are small tools that yield big dividends in our differentiated classroom. We learn in different ways and through different mediums. We are making authentic charts as we learn and to help the learning stick. We are using laptops and integrated tools to personalize learning. Our students are getting exposure to public speaking with the freedom to express their ideas through their projects. Our students’ voices grow stronger and more defined within this visual and auditory learning environment.
