Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A day in the art room is full of creativity in all forms! A diverse set of materials fill the room and engage the students in learning. We are working toward building a foundation of art materials to explore all mediums!
This school is a Title I Charter school supporting low-income families.
The school serves students from kindergarten through 8th grade. This school is growing academically and is full of potential! The art program is an enrichment program to support creativity. Through joyful school experiences, we are forming lifelong learners and a positive school climate and culture.
My Project
Art encompasses many different mediums. Printmaking is a great hands-on experience that is unique to the art room learning environment. Printmaking involves drawing, carving, stamping, and collaging. These kinds of projects allow students to create unique and individualized projects in the art room.
My class is a new this school year, and we desperately need some diverse printmaking materials to enhance the studio art experience for students.
I need the Nasco printmaking class set, which includes printing plates, inks, and brayers. These are all foundational materials to get this medium off the ground and running! We will create projects exhibiting all of the elements and principles of art.
