The students in my class are unlike any other. About half of them come from low income households, and this can have huge impact on their academics. They come to class ready to learn, and cannot wait to see what new information they will learn on a daily basis. I am privileged to be able to create lessons that engage them in different ways.
They want to be engaged; they crave it on a daily basis, and I want to satisfy their hunger for knowledge as best I can.
I want to be the teacher who stands out, who inspires, and who challenges them to do and be better every day. I want to help them realize their potential, be confident in themselves as students, and be successful academically.
My Project
Please help me provide my students with a neat and orderly learning environment. In our classroom, we have Chromebooks that we regularly incorporate into our lessons. However, we do not have a method for storing our technology. Our Chromebooks and wires are stored in a crate that we keep on a table. This makes it difficult to keep them charged, and they are not easily accessible for my students. It is also an eyesore to have a jumble of Chromebooks and wires sitting out in the open.
A Chromebook cart would provide necessary storage so that my students can have a learning environment that is free from the distraction of unnecessary clutter.
This cart will also serve as a charging station, which will help ensure that our class resources are ready for us when we are ready for them.
