This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a high-poverty and high-risk community.
Because of this, many of my students do not have the means to purchase a computer and have difficulty completing assignments because of the lack of supplies.
This can bring down their self-confidence because they cannot afford basic supplies. Trying to complete a research assignment by hand can be time-consuming and bothersome, but with a Chromebook, students can type research assignments rapidly. With their enthusiasm and your support, their effort can be maximized!
My Project
I am requesting 35 Chromebooks, 1 charging cart, and 35 Google Chrome licenses. With these requested Chromebooks, my students can complete their research assignments quickly and efficiently. This will boost their self-confidence with completing assignments and giving 110%. Working in a group, students can save and edit information, which would be impossible with paper and pen. This would extend group work and build upon collaboration.
With your donation, these 35 Chromebooks could be a reality and my students could start generating extensive projects, elaborate written responses quicker.
The licenses will allow our students to access state assessments and the cart will provide easy transportation and charging port! These tools would only expand their education! We cannot do this without the support of people like yourself!
