My Students

I am a librarian to an amazing group of diverse learners. My students are amazing! They have the willingness to learn and the ability to do so. They love getting to learn new concepts and enjoy read-aloud with follow-up activities.

Since many of our students come from low-income families in a rural school district, they don't always have the opportunities that students in surrounding districts might have available to them.

We serve Kindergarten through 6th-grade students in the library on a daily basis. Our community is great at supporting our students. However, with the library being on a cart this year, I need lessons that will take the place of STEM games we are unable to use during this pandemic.

My Project

Gift cards from Teachers Pay Teachers will allow me to purchase lessons and clip art to create library lessons that are relevant to what my students are learning. I will use the gift cards to purchase things like escape rooms, read aloud resources, clip art to create my own worksheets, mini-books, bookmarks, etc.

My students will be 1:1 in upper grades, which allows me to use Teachers Pay Teachers digital lessons that appeal to their specific grade levels.

I would use the clip art to create either digital (should we have to go virtual) and in-person learning lessons.
