Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The classroom carpet will make a big difference in my first graders’ learning by providing a comfortable, organized space where they can focus, listen, and actively engage during lessons. Since most of my instruction happens on the carpet, it’s essential for creating a structured learning environment where students feel secure and ready to participate.
My goal for this project is to create a welcoming classroom space that supports whole-group instruction, encourages collaboration, and helps my students develop strong listening and social skills.
A defined meeting area will also reduce distractions and improve classroom management.
What makes my students special is their eagerness to learn and their caring, curious nature. They come to school each day excited to grow, and they thrive in environments where they feel seen, safe, and supported. This carpet will help provide that foundation.
