This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My current carpet space is about 7 years old. It is stained and discolored. During the COVID period when desks were spread throughout the room, the carpet became dirtier and now has many creases over which students and myself can trip.
My first-grade students will be eager to learn on this beautiful new carpet!
They will feel very special and important knowing that generous people have donated money so they can utilize this new area.
I want my students to want to come to school and have materials that are not rundown and dirty. This will ultimately make them feel good and therefore they will be ready and willing to learn.
