My Project
In our class we are referred to as the Adventurers. I love that my students are always so eager to learn new things. We have built a loving and caring community in our classroom and we love to have fun and very engaging conversations with each other. With this new carpet, we can sit together during our large group session. It will also give our Adventurers multiple opportunity to have "Turn and Talk" sessions with individual classmates. With the carpet I have now, we are able to talk with only our left or right partners. This new carpet would allow my students to have addition partners who are either sitting in front or behind them.
In Kindergarten, there is an emphasis on socialization.
This carpet will be the perfect tool for students to be able to engage in socialization activities with one another. For example, through turn and talk, students are able to take a moment and reflect on what has been shared. Through this practice, they are able to hear and participate in reading, math, and writing activities as well. This will be the ideal resource for my Adventurers!
