This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

If this project is funded, my first graders will have a clean place to sit and focus when they are in front of the Promethean Board. My students will also sit on this carpet during shared reading, whole group math instruction, classroom meetings, and read aloud time.

Carpet time is our favorite time to be together.

Young students need a designated spot to sit so that they can best focus on instruction and on their learning.

Right now, my students sit on a very old carpet that has not been properly cleaned over time. I hope that your generosity will change that.
