My Students
I have yet to meet these first graders, but I know that they will be full of energy and eager to learn. First grade is such a vital year to provide a strong foundation for these children's futures. First-grade students are always asking questions, they are active learners, and they enjoy hands-on and engaging instruction.
While my students may not have it all, in my classroom, they will know that the world is theirs if they have the motivation to achieve.
In order to instill these values in my students, it is important to set up a learning environment that promotes success for all students.
My Project
These lap desks come as a set of 10, which makes flexible seating accessible to a larger number of students. These will be valuable in my classroom because students can feel free to use them during stations to complete tasks as they are moving around the room.
An easel is essential in the elementary classroom for reading big books together on the carpet, and to provide visual models while teaching.
I have a white board in the front of my room, but this easel will help when making anchor charts with students and when teaching mini lessons, because the easel moves and can be right there where we are! This easel is also a great resource because it offers great storage on the bottom, and every teacher needs lots and lots of storage!
