Help me give my students their own space to sit during instruction time! Kindergarteners need a visual space to help them center their body for learning. This carpet is perfect for making space for each student!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kindergarten is such a special time, but it is also a time filled with a lot of learning. We do a majority of our learning at "carpet" where students sit on the floor in front of the teacher to participate in their learning. At carpet we listen to stories, learn our letters, sing songs, and learn number concepts.
Having a carpet for students to sit on makes a huge difference in our learning time because it gives students a visual for their own space to sit at.
Having this space helps them organize their body for learning that does not interfere with someone else's space. It also adds color and decoration to our classroom!
