Carpet Seating for Classroom Routines
My students need a place to sit, besides the floor for our morning meeting and calendar routines.
My second grade students come into our room each morning ready and excited to learn! I work in a Title I school, with a high percentage of students receive free or reduced price breakfast and lunch and take food home for the weekend. Many of my students come from hard-working families and I want to continue the hard work ethic in my classroom. As a teacher I want my students to know they are special and can do whatever they put their minds too!
This carpet will make a difference in my classroom routines. My students currently sit on a tile floor, this carpet will also help to eliminate distraction during classroom routines such as calendar, morning meeting and various lessons. I will also utilize this carpet during social studies lessons for reference to continents and mapping skills. This carpet will greatly benefit my classroom by keeping students engaged, focused and having a welcoming environment for my classroom! Students will be lucky to have a warm place to sit and participate in classroom routines such as calendar, social studies lessons, mapping lessons and other various activities during our day.
