My students need a classroom carpet for whole class and small group math lessons, math read aloud, and as a multiplication resource.
Think of your elementary school experience? I'm sure you can remember meeting your teacher on the carpet. After all what's a classroom without a carpet?
My students are enrolled at a Title I elementary school in North Carolina.
They are a group of young people who are energetic and excited about learning math. Although many are economically disadvantaged, all of my mathematicians are hard workers, motivated, and determined. They are passionate and elated about coming to our math lab daily to work with numbers and equations.
Carpets add so much to a classroom. A classroom rug will provide my students comfort when teaching whole group and small group lessons. It will provide color to our room, and it will support our content. Yes, this rug will serve many purposes and one of the most important purposes is to provide multiplication and division support for my mathematicians. This large rug will always be visible at the center of the room and will support my students with their multiplication facts while they are in the math lab hard at work.
My students will benefit from your kindness and your generous donations will help add to our math lab by adding comfort and content in the form of a carpet.
This rug will truly reinforce our classroom motto that math matters, math counts, math is everywhere, even on a carpet.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
