My Students

My students are the brightest part of my day. They are the reason I strive to become a better teacher daily. They are consistently happy and always ready to take on a challenge. We live in a small community in East Texas. Our school is a Title I school with a diverse set of learners.

I strive to create a unique classroom setting that envelops a home-like atmosphere while at school.

I am currently looking to bring in more flexible seating but also a new carpet for my reading area. These two things are critical when trying to create a level of comfort for students while learning.

My Project

A new carpet can spruce up an old classroom. My goal is to create a homelike atmosphere for my students by utilizing a new carpet and flexible seating.

Creating a comforting reading area with this carpet will enhance my reading nook and student experiences.

My goal is to create an area for students to let their imagination run wild through books and comfort. Flexible seating is a huge part of this. Allowing students free choice to sit where they would like creates accountability in their work efforts and self control.
