This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are creating a 21st century classroom and could use a few more seating options. This carpet is a gift that will enhance student learning for many years. The students will have the flexibility to choose spots on the carpet. This will serve the needs of my diverse population of students, allowing students with special needs to feel comfortable and make their education more successful.
Giving them the possibility and options to work in non-traditional ways will assist my students in making more academic growth.
My children often choose the floor to work on their creative writing. They have clipboards for their laps and dive into their work. They love the floor! Sitting on this new rug will be a more comfortable space for them.
