This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The iPad Mini, equipped with assistive technology, will provide my students with the care and support they need to overcome learning barriers. Apps like Proloquo2Go will help non-verbal students communicate, while Voice Dream Reader will assist those with dyslexia or vision impairments by converting text into speech. Built-in accessibility features such as Guided Access, Switch Control, and AssistiveTouch will empower students with physical or cognitive challenges to interact with learning materials more independently. This technology will foster engagement, confidence, and academic growth for all my students.
My goal is to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student, regardless of their disability, has access to the tools they need to succeed.
Specifically, I want to:
Provide students with personalized assistive technology to enhance their learning experience.
Foster independence and self-expression for students with communication barriers.
Improve reading comprehension and engagement for students who struggle with traditional text.
Ensure that each child feels valued, supported, and empowered in their education.
My students are resilient, curious, and full of potential. Despite facing challenges, they come to school eager to learn, grow, and connect with their peers. Each student brings unique strengths and perspectives that enrich our classroom. With the right tools, they can unlock their abilities, build confidence, and achieve their dreams. They inspire me daily, and I am committed to providing them with the care, support, and technology they need to thrive.
