Many of my students struggle to access basic resources like toiletries and food, and also struggle with strong emotions that they find hard to express because of their difficulty with communicating. These students all have special needs and can truly struggle at school, which can significantly impact their well-being and academic performance.
This project will enable them to focus on their studies and participate fully in school activities without the added stress of financial constraints.
This support not only promotes equal opportunity but also reduces the stigma associated with needing help, allowing students to receive assistance discreetly and with dignity.
Contributing to my caring classroom by providing toiletries, sensory items, and art journals to help them express their feelings, which fosters a sense of community and collective responsibility, showing that everyone cares about the success and well-being of every student.
It enhances academic success by meeting students' basic needs and encourages self-sufficiency, helping them develop resilience and resourcefulness.
