This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The objective of this STEM project is to teach students or enthusiasts about the principles of physics, engineering, and mathematics related to balance and stability while using the Super73 Modular Cargo Crate. Participants will customize their cargo crates and test their designs to achieve the best balance and stability for different cargo loads.

This project empowers our community by uniting us through the shared love of Super73, while instilling a deep appreciation for STEM, as we collaboratively explore the wonders of balance, stability, and innovation in the real world.

Project Steps:

Assemble the Cargo Crate according to the provided instructions. Discuss the key components and their roles in the cargo crate's structure.

Distribute Weight: Introduce the concept of weight distribution and how it affects balance. Students will calculate the cargo's weight and determine how to distribute it evenly in the cargo crate. They will use mathematical calculations to ensure balance.

Cargo Load Testing: Students will test different items into the cargo crate, varying the weight and shape of the cargo and document their cargo choices and weights.

On-Ride Testing: Students will attach their cargo crates to a Super73 bike and take it for a test ride. They should pay close attention to how the cargo affects the bike's balance, handling, and stability. we will record observations and measurements during the ride.

Modification and Redesign: Based on their observations, we will modify our cargo crate designs to improve balance and stability. They might add or adjust weight distribution, change the cargo layout, or make structural changes.

Through this project, we will learn about physics, engineering, and mathematics concepts related to balance and stability. They'll also gain practical problem-solving skills, an understanding of cargo management, and insights into the importance of balance in vehicle design.
