The integrated Pre-K program creates opportunities for students with and without disabilities to learn together in a nurturing environment. Students have opportunities to develop their skills in all areas including language, mathematics, motor skills, social skills, and the arts.
Students with disabilities are provided with individual therapies, accommodations, and direct instruction in their areas of need.
Peers without disabilities serve as language and social models, gain awareness of differences in others, and are taught according to their own individual needs.
My Project
This project will provide integrated Pre-K students with opportunities to engage in pretend play activities that will help them explore careers. Students will learn that they can be anything they want to be and that people can earn money by doing different jobs.
Students will also be able to create a pretend store.
This project will provide the children with pretend money that they can use to buy pretend food at a pretend store or restaurant. Students will also read about wants and needs. This will help children understand that they will have to make choices about how to spend their money wisely. Thank you for considering our project!
