Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To complete a variety of projects, my students will work in group settings for extended hours on career prep, college prep, college scholarship essay writing, and college tours. The time spent will be long, so snacks are necessary to keep them somewhat full in case they do not have money to buy lunch on campus. Staying full will help keep them motivated about learning.

Many students are from low socioeconomic status backgrounds, so money might not be as easy to come by as it can be for others.

Any time I can provide snacks, it is greatly appreciated to help reduce their burden. The refrigerator will help keep their snacks and drinks cold, and the microwave will allow them to heat up their food and popcorn during the sessions.
