Career Conversations via Podcast

Help me give my students an opportunity to interview business and community leaders via Blue Yeti USB Mic for podcasting. My students are multi-cultural Generation Z who will enter the global workforce with real life skills.

My Students

All students deserve my full attention. As the Career Coordinator for 500 early college students, I serve 50 percent African American students, many who are first time generation college attendees.

Our overall mission of the school is to provide access to college coursework to first-generation college, economically disadvantaged students and opportunities for acceleration.

Our student learners are a melting pot of ethnicities, religions, socio-economic status and cultural diversities. Because I support our hard-working students with enthusiasm, professionalism, and ethics, I know the value of learning about careers.

I challenge myself to support all the needs of diverse students through career preparation in creative ways.

My Project

Let's face it, Career Navigation is tough. We can inspire and motivate undecisive students with their very own PodCast, "Career Conversations." My students will utilize technology tools like LyxPro Studio Monitor And Mixing Headphones, and the Blue Yeti USB Mic, along with Acoustic Panels Studio Foam Wedges and Microphone pop filter to eliminate background noise as they interview business and industry leaders to better understand job requirements, education, and soft skills. What better way to navigate careers by doing hands-on research using the latest and greatest technology skills? Of course you know they will publicize their own Podcast on social media platforms like TikTok and Snapchat and that's how we safely educate Today's Teens and impact lives, one career interview at a time with a little Technology equipment and the share button!
